Made to Measure Roman Blinds Measuring Guide

Help and Advice

We suggest you grab a pen, note pad and metal measuring tape.

Always measure the width first and then the drop. Then record these measurements in the same way.

We recommend you measure all windows individually.

Roman Blinds

Please note our Roman blinds have a Min width of 30 cm and a Max width of 223 cm.

Please note our Roman blinds have a Min drop of 61 cm and a Max drop of 213 cm.

You will be required to select which side you want the controller of the blind, ensure there are no obstructions.

Inside Recess

You need to measure in 6 positions. Firstly, your width and then your drop.

Measure across for the width in 3 points as shown, record your smallest dimension.

Measure down for the drop in 3 positions as shown, record your smallest dimension.

Please do not make any allowance for the recess yourself.

Outside Recess

You need to measure in 6 positions. Firstly, your width and then your drop.

Measure across for the width in 3 points as shown, record your largest dimension.

Measure down for the drop in 3 positions as shown, record your largest dimension.

For best results we advise that you add on 16 cm overlap to the overall dimension for both the width and the drop.

This will be the exact measurement you need to provide.

This will allow for a 8 cm overlap on each side to help block out light.

Important Information

Extremely important to note that it is a legal requirement to ensure all blinds are fit with a chain safety bracket.

Cleats should be positioned out of children’s reach on an adjacent surface that is at least 1.5 metres from the floor.

After blind use, cords should be fastened up in a figure of eight making sure all the spare cord is secured on the cleat.

Please note that as our made to measure curtains are bespoke to your individual requirements they cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged if the measurements are incorrect, or you decide against the fabric. To minimise any associated risk, we strongly recommend that you read this measuring guide twice and take two sets of measurements to make sure the first are accurate and you’re happy to proceed. Furthermore, we offer a free fabric sample service allowing you to order up to five samples to make sure you are happy with the material, design and colour.
